Washoe County Libraries offer three types of spaces available for public use. Click on a library branch below for more details. If you have questions about how to reserve a room, you can refer to this short tutorial or contact us.
Meeting Rooms: Washoe County Library System offers meeting rooms at most larger libraries, available for use by government agencies, community groups, and individuals. Most of these rooms allow refreshments and provide seating, Wi-Fi, projection screens, podiums, large screen televisions, white boards, and other amenities.
Rooms can be reserved up to six months in advance. All potential meeting room users should review and be familiar with all applicable library policies, including the Meeting Room Policy and the Unattended Children Policy.
Occupancy rates are strictly enforced by the fire marshal. Depending on additional equipment brought into the room, these rates may be reduced to ensure the safe evacuation of the room in the event of an emergency.
Zoom ROOMs: Zoom ROOMs are soundproof privacy pods, and you can now find them at several Washoe County Library locations. These pods accommodate either one or four occupants and are perfect for virtual meetings, online interviews, and other times when a quiet workspace is needed.
Funds for this project have been provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records.
Study Rooms: Study rooms for small groups are available at the Northwest Reno Library, South Valleys Library, and Spanish Springs Library. These rooms are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Branches may limit usage of study rooms to accommodate use by the library and other patrons.
