Holiday Closures
On Wednesday, December 31, all libraries will close early — at 4 pm — except the Gerlach Community Library, the Verdi Community Library and Nature Center, and the Duncan/Traner Community Library, which will be closed all day, and the Senior Center library which will close at its usual time of 1 pm. All Washoe County Library locations will be closed Thursday, January 1, for the New Year's Day holiday.

The Gerlach School/Community Library is on the edge of the Black Rock Desert and serves the northern half of Washoe County. We are located inside the Gerlach K–12 School.

Like all Washoe County Libraries, we have access to everything that the county library system has to offer, in addition to housing thousands of items, which include books, CDs, audiobooks, DVDs and Blu-rays. We also have public internet access.
