Library Board of Trustees
The Library Board is appointed by the Washoe County Commissioners in accordance with NRS 379.022 and governs the operations of Washoe County Library System.
Library History
Washoe County Library System began in 1904 with the opening of Reno's Carnegie Free Public Library at the corner of South Virginia and Mill Streets.
Support the Library
The library relies on the support of our community, including library advocates and donors of funds and materials.
Library Policies
Library policies are set by the Board of Trustees and serve as the governing documents of the Library.
Working at the Library
As a department of Washoe County, all library positions are recruited through Washoe County Human Resources.
