Nestled in the high sierra near the shores of Lake Tahoe, the Incline Village Library serves a diverse community of local and visiting patrons. This award-winning, 10,600 square-foot facility includes comfortable reading and study areas, a two-sided fireplace, a community meeting room, murals and sculpture, and outdoor patios. The library sits on the ancestral lands of the Washoe, and our Young People’s Library features a traditional galais dungal or winter house. The galais dungal acts as the backdrop for our baby and toddler story time programs, where our young patrons get a head start on developing early literacy skills. The Young People’s Library also has computers especially designed for education and fun, games, toys, as well as book bins at child level to provide an easy browsing experience.
The library houses a variety of items for checkout which include Spanish language materials for all ages and our special Tahoe Collection, which features all things Tahoe, including guidebooks, local history, and maps. The library provides access to technology including 3D printing, computers, free Wi-Fi, and wireless printing. Need a place to meet? The library’s meeting room is available for use during and outside of the library's public hours; starting as early as 8 a.m. to end as late as 10 p.m. with weekend availability. Or reserve the Zoom ROOM for up to two hours. There is always something to do at the library, with a variety of cultural and educational programs offered regularly.
