Sparks Library

The newly renovated Sparks Library is a large urban library located in the heart of Sparks. With friendly and knowledgeable staff, Sparks Library is your connection to information, people, and programs. New comfortable seating, wireless computer access, public use computers, individual study carrels, and a Zoom ROOM. Our meeting room is a convenient place to meet, before, during, and after library hours. (Some restrictions apply.) Bright and spacious, available technology includes a ceiling mounted projector with a variety of media connections, Apple TV, 3D HD television and Blu-ray player, and Wi-Fi.

A large open area in the Young People’s library make story time a truly interactive event. The STEAM center provides children and families with a variety of learning activities in a place to connect, gather, and explore. There is also a delightful garden courtyard accessible from the Young People’s Library. Highly trained staff provide literacy events, crafts, and cultural events in the Young People's Library.

Teens can gather and work on computers in the heart of the young adult materials collection.

Technology help is available at the point of service, as well as the ability to book a librarian for individual assistance during a 50-minute session. Technology classes in English and Spanish can be found in the events calendar.

Professional quality research and information-seeking services are provided by trained library staff, including help with what to read next and how to use our extensive online resources like research databases and downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines.

Materials from any Washoe County Library branch can be returned to the automated 24-hour return near the front entrance, so you can return materials when it's convenient for you.
