Washoe County Library maintains an archive of the Reno Gazette-Journal (1983–present) and its predecessors, the Reno Evening Gazette (1876–1983) and Nevada State Journal (1870–1983). For assistance using these resources or for information about microfilm availability, please contact the Downtown Reno Library.
Additionally, the Sparks Tribune is available on microfilm (November 1979 through December 2007) for use at the Sparks Library.

Microfilm: 1870–present
The Downtown Reno Library maintains a complete collection of the Reno Gazette-Journal and its predecessors. Print copies of the RGJ are kept until microfilm is available, ensuring a complete run.
There are two microfilm readers available for use by the public. Pages and articles may be printed or saved as PDF files. You will need a flash drive to save digital copies from the microfilm.
