Expired Accounts
Washoe County Library accounts automatically expire after three years of inactivity. If you received an email notification or saw an expired account message when logging into your account, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Log in to your account at catalog.washoecountylibrary.us.
- Expand the "Account Settings" menu on the left (desktop) or tap the person icon in the upper right (mobile), then select "Contact Information."
- Review your information and make any necessary changes.
- Click "Update/Verify Contact Information" at the bottom of the page. It may take up to 24 hours for your changes to take effect. Your account will renew at that time.
- If you did not make any changes, you may see an error message. If so, your account has not been updated. Please contact any Washoe County Library location for assistance.
Expired Libby Access
If you are unable to access digital checkouts in Libby, there may be one of several different issues. If you use your regular library card to log into Libby, your account may have expired in our system. If that is the case, please follow the instructions above.
If you are using a digital card or you registered for Libby using your telephone number, please contact us for assistance updating your account.
