Repeat offender adjudicated as habitual criminal

Defendant previously found guilty of robbery

A Reno man has been adjudicated as a habitual criminal, following a guilty verdict in a Robbery with a Deadly Weapon case.

42-year-old Lamont Bolder was sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of parole in 10 years. He was sentenced to an additional 28-72 months on the count of Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Bolder had been arrested in August of 2021, following an armed robbery at an apartment on Brinkby Ave.

At sentencing, the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office argued that Bolder’s criminal history - including at least 8 previous felonies — and continuing criminal conduct, evoked the very definition of the habitual criminal. The Deputy DA on the case also highlighted the egregious and alarming frequency of Bolder’s acquisition and use of weapons, along with his manipulation of parole and probation to commit more crimes. The DA’s Office further argued that Nevada’s communities deserve extended relief from Bolder, and they will be safer when he is not in them.

The Honorable Judge Kathleen Drakulich presided over the trial and imposed the sentence.
