Washoe County to remove concrete barriers on Lemmon Valley Drive
Lemmon Drive will be closed to through-traffic for two days
Lemmon Drive will be closed for two days beginning at 6 a.m., Tuesday, September 29, while crews remove most of the “K-rail” concrete barriers between Deodar Way and Nectar Street.
The City of Reno will close Lemmon Drive and reroute traffic on Military Road while Washoe County contractor SNC removes the barriers. The barriers were put in place as part of the county’s flood mitigation efforts. Given the progress of those efforts, the barriers are now being removed.
The removal will begin around 6 a.m., September 29, and residents should plan accordingly and allow extra time to get to their destinations.
Four message boards will be placed in the area on September 24 to help notify drivers in advance of the closure. For more information, call Washoe311 at 3-1-1 or 775-328-2003.
