Reno, Nevada. Dec. 8, 2016. Due to inclement weather, the Glenn Duncan STEM Academy 4th graders will not be performing at the Washoe County Administrative Complex today. All Washoe County School District schools are on a 2-hour weather delay due to weather conditions.

Reno, Nevada. Dec. 7, 2016. Fourth graders from Glenn Duncan STEM Academy will spread holiday cheer by caroling to local seniors and Washoe County employees on Thursday, December 8, 2016, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Students and teachers will get an honorary escort from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office as they walk a few blocks from the school to the Washoe County Administrative Complex, Building A, starting around 9 a.m.
The carolers will continue the holiday celebration in the lobby of Building D near the Treasurer’s/Assessor’s offices, then to Building E where they will perform at the Senior Center.
“We look forward to hosting the choir from our Partner in Education school,” Washoe County Manager John Slaughter said. “This event has become an annual tradition and a favorite of both the students and our employees at Washoe County. This year we are expanding the caroling to include a stop at the Senior Center.”
Media are invited to attend the police escort and the caroling.
