Washoe County is working with the community and local partners to support victims of Little Valley Fire.

Reno, Nevada. Oct. 17, 2016. On Monday afternoon, Washoe County staff, along with representatives from the American Red Cross, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District accompanied residents to see their property within the Little Valley Fire burn area. Residents were able to view damage caused by the fire on Franktown Rd., Old Ranch Rd. and J S Bar Ranch Rd.

“This was an emotional day for all those who saw the burn area,” Washoe County Manager John Slaughter said. “There is minor damage to some structures and there are homes that are a total loss. On behalf of Washoe County, the County Commission and our staff, our hearts go out to all those who were affected in some way by this tragedy. Rest assured, Washoe County will continue providing a helping hand during this very difficult time.”
