New program and "Wandering Kit" created to assist caregivers of Alzheimer's victims and special needs children.
Reno, Nevada. June 11, 2015. Washoe County Sheriff Chuck Allen will be joined by representatives from other local law enforcement agencies as well as several government and community-based organizations that work with victims of Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia and Cognitive Impairments to announce a new public-private partnership aimed at protecting the safety of persons who “wander” and become lost.
Participants in this announcement will discuss a new program using equipment from Care Trak Systems, Inc. to help track high-risk people with Alzheimer disease and special needs children. They will also display a specialized Wandering Kit created by local agencies to assist caregivers in Washoe County.
