Second Judicial District Court Hosts Lawyer in the Library Special Event Sponsored by the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association
Attorneys volunteer their time to assist participants with free legal guidance.
Reno, Nev. July 15, 2020 – The Washoe County Law Library of the Second Judicial Court has partnered with the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association to host a special schedule of Lawyer in the Library events throughout the month of August.
Attorneys specializing in Family Law, Civil/General Law, Estates/Probate, and Pardons & Criminal Records Sealing will volunteer their time to assist participants with free legal guidance. All of the volunteer attorneys will be coordinated by the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association.
Family Law assistance will be offered every Tuesday afternoon, General Law assistance will be offered each Wednesday afternoon, and Probate Law Assistance will be offered in the afternoons on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. A special Pardons & Criminal Records Sealing program will be held on Tuesday, August 25 & Wednesday August 26 at 5:00 PM.
In order to ensure the safety of the volunteers and participants, the Lawyer in the Library events will all be held virtually, via Zoom. Participants may receive assistance from the comfort of their homes.
Those wishing to attend must register ahead of time. Appointments are on a first come, first-serve basis and can be scheduled by signing up at https://www.washoecourts.com/LawLibrary. Specific appointment times will vary based on attorney availability and number of participants. Each participant will receive up to 15 minutes of time with a licensed Nevada attorney at no charge.
