Printing is currently unavailable at the North Valleys Library. Due to ongoing construction, the elevator at the Downtown Reno Library is currently not in service. Computers and restrooms are available on the main level for patrons who are unable to use the stairs, and staff can assist with retrieving materials from other levels.

Washoe County District Attorney’s Office Limits Public Services and Access to Essential Business, Law Enforcement and Subpoenaed Witnesses

Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks is implementing safety measures to reduce the risk of further spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) in response to the Washoe County Health Department’s efforts to provide guidance to local government and private businesses. The goal of these reductions of services are meant to decrease the opportunity for disease transmission and focus on providing essential services.

The safety of the public we serve is our priority and as a community we must work together to reduce the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus to our family, friends and co-workers. The WCDA’s Office will continue to focus on our commitment to ensuring justice for victims and safeguarding the public during this time and we ask for your cooperation.” District Attorney Chris Hicks

Effective today, the following limitations will be in place at the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office (WCDA) until further notice:

  • All public visits to the WCDA Lobby will be restricted to subpoenaed witnesses and those with urgent business
  • Childcare assistance for subpoenaed witnesses will not be available
  • Drop-in WCDA victim assistance will not be available
  • Records will be limited to law enforcement visits and urgent or time sensitive business or document drop off/pick up
  • Family Support will be limited to time sensitive or urgent business
  • Criminal and Civil Divisions will remain in operation and limit public contact
