Washoe County staff releases report with proposed code language for short-term rentals

County Commissioners asked to introduce and hold first reading Feb. 25

Reno, Nev. February 11, 2020. Washoe County officials are working to establish standards and a permitting process for short-term rentals (STRs) in unincorporated Washoe County, including Incline Village/Crystal Bay.

 After several months of research, public engagement, and analysis, Washoe County staff has created STR code language for review by the Board of County Commissioners. The Board is tentatively scheduled to consider the proposals at their Feb. 25, 2020 meeting, where they are asked to introduce and conduct a first reading of the changes.
