Aug. 28 workshop added to accommodate demand
Reno, Nev. Aug. 22, 2019. Due to tremendous interest in the short-term rental workshop scheduled for Aug. 26 at the Chateau at Incline Village, Washoe County has scheduled a second workshop in Incline Village. The additional workshop will be held Aug. 28, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at the Parasol Building, located at 948 Incline Way in Incline Village.
Those who have not yet RSVP’d for a workshop date are encouraged to attend the Aug. 28 session or take the recently-launched online survey aimed at gathering input on short-term rentals within unincorporated Washoe County*. Take the survey now.

To ensure adequate space and materials for workshop attendees, please RSVP online. If you previously RSVP’d for the Aug. 26 workshop and would like to attend the Aug. 28 workshop instead, please indicate that in your online RSVP.
Workshop and survey topics include: short-term rental permitting requirements, fire and guest safety, and possible impacts to quality of life such as parking, trash, or noise.
The recently-launched online survey is intended to be an alternative method of providing feedback for those who wish to comment on short-term rentals but may not be able to attend the public workshops.
Washoe County invites those with interest in this topic to participate and provide input either by completing the online survey or attending one of the workshops. Public input will be used to assist County staff in their efforts to establish simple, fair and enforceable standards for short-term rentals. Information gathered via the survey and workshops will be used to draft approaches for consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.

Washoe County launches online survey seeking input on short-term rentals
Public workshops will also be held Aug. 20 and Aug. 26
Reno, Nev. Aug. 19, 2019. The Washoe County Community Services Department has launched an online survey aimed at gathering input on short-term rentals within unincorporated Washoe County*.
Short-term rentals are generally operated out of private residences such as homes, apartments and condos. They are commonly made available through property management companies and online booking services such as Airbnb and VRBO. Take the survey now.
REMINDER: Washoe County is also offering public workshops in both Reno and Incline Village:
