Public Comment/Public Hearing for Reno-Stead and Lemmon Valley Wastewater Reclamation Facility Permit Renewals
RENO, NV – The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection’s (NDEP) Bureau of Water Pollution Control (BWPC) opened the public notice period for the renewal of Groundwater Discharge permits for two Wastewater Reclamation Facilities (WRF), the Reno-Stead facility operated by the City of Reno (NS2008500) and the Lemmon Valley facility operated by Washoe County (NS2008507). In addition to the opportunity for members of the public to provide written comments on the two permit renewals, NDEP has also scheduled a public hearing to be held on September 13, 2019, at 5:00 pm at the North Valleys Community Center, 8085 Silver Lake Road, Reno, Nevada. The written public comment period will end on September 3, 2019. Comments made during the public hearing will also be considered in NDEP’s review of the permit renewal applications.
