Holiday Closures
On Wednesday, December 24, all libraries will close early — at 4 pm — except the Gerlach Community Library, the Verdi Community Library and Nature Center, and the Duncan/Traner Community Library, which will be closed all day, and the Senior Center library which will close at its usual time of 1 pm. All Washoe County Library locations will be closed Thursday, December 25, for the Christmas holiday.

Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 at 9 a.m. breakfast for veterans.

Reno, Nev. Oct. 19, 2018. Join the Sun Valley General Improvement District & Washoe County Human Services as we honor veterans Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018. Breakfast begins at 9 a.m. at the Sun Valley Neighborhood Center, which is located 115 W. 6th Ave., Sun Valley, Nev.

Free pancake breakfast will be served following opening ceremonies, which will include: Boy Scout Color Guard, special guests representing local and state elected officials, various groups and organizations that support the military and veterans.

All veterans, active and non-active military, and the public are invited to attend this event.
