Informative and Easy to Read Report is Free to the Public
Reno, Nev. Sept. 17, 2018 - The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD) is proud to present its annual Community Report to the residents of Washoe County.
“We hope our citizens will take a moment to review our 2018 Report to the Community and learn more about the important fire and rescue services we provide to our citizens,” said Truckee Meadows Fire Chief Charles A. Moore. “We maintain constant readiness throughout the year and respond to many types of emergencies, not just fires. We are a purpose driven organization that serves as an all risk public safety agency with highly trained and career staff certified in paramedicine, wildland and structural firefighting, hazardous materials and technical rescues.”
The annual report provides important information on the services provided by TMFPD along with statistics on call volumes throughout 2017, a record breaking wildfire season. Additionally, readers will find important data such as wildland acres burned in the District, rescue service highlights, and information on the District’s fire prevention programs, along with community service initiatives and facility/equipment improvements the District has implemented in the last year.
“As a public agency, Truckee Meadows Fire is committed to transparency and fiscal responsibility to its taxpaying residents,” said Chief Moore. Readers will also find a summary of revenue and expenses, and future plans for the Fire District. The informative and easy to read report is available to the public at no cost.
The report can be found here 2018 TMFPD Community Report, or go to www.tmfpd.us. Residents can also contact 775.326.6000 for a copy delivered by U.S. Mail.
