Services provided to attendees on first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last

RENO, Nev. – July 20, 2018 – Truckee Meadows Healthy Communities (TMHC) in collaboration with the Washoe County Health District, Renown, the Community Health Alliance, the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, Immunize Nevada, and other partners is hosting another Family Health Festival on Wednesday, July 25, from 12:00 to 3:30 p.m. at Miguel Ribera Park, located at 3925 Neil Road, in Reno. The event brings free and low-cost services to kids, students, adults and seniors, while supplies last.

Services to be provided will include: food stamps/SNAP and WIC registration; health screenings & immunizations; job application & resume help; family planning; HIV testing; bus passes; health insurance enrollment information; school supplies, and more.

“Family Health Festivals meet a growing demand in our community for access to a limited number of health services and referrals,” said Washoe County District Health Officer Kevin Dick. “Simply put, Family Health Festivals are part of TMHC’s continued efforts to work with local organizations to improve community health by focusing on food access, physical activity, and healthcare access and education,” Dick said.
