“Galena Campfire Programs” begin June 22
Reno, Nev. June 15, 2018. Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space is proud to welcome back toe-tapping, marshmallow-toasting evenings under the stars with “Galena Campfire Programs”, taking place at Eagle Meadow at Galena Creek Regional Park beginning Friday, June 22 at 7:30 p.m.
The six-week program features a range of entertainment including bluegrass, folk music, cowboy poetry and dance performances, plus fun, educational programs and marshmallow roasting, all taking place outdoors at the beautiful Galena Creek Regional Park. Blankets, low-back chairs, bug spray and flashlights are recommended. Galena Campfire Programs are free to the public, however donations are encouraged. Come out to the park early to barbeque, or bring a picnic dinner. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Where: Eagle Meadow, north entrance to Galena Creek Regional Park above the Galena Creek Visitor Center, 18250 Mt. Rose Highway., Reno
When: Free, family entertainment series 8 - 9 p.m., with marshmallow roasting at 7:30 p.m.
