The Verdi Community Library and Nature Center will be closed Wednesday, September 16, due to the Floriston Fire. The Northwest Reno Library is closed for a heating and cooling replacement and a roof retrofit; it will reopen on Monday, September 21.

Callers asking public for donations to volunteer fire departments

Reno, Nev. June 11, 2018 - The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD) has received some recent inquiries from concerned citizens wanting to confirm phone solicitors requesting donations for volunteer fire departments.

While the TMFPD manages and oversees volunteer fire stations, the District does not call the public asking for donations.
