Reno, Nev. May 29, 2018. May 2018 means Older Americans Month and Washoe County Human Services Agency Senior Services Division, City of Reno, City of Sparks, and the Regional Transportation Commission are wrapping up a fun-filled schedule with closing ceremonies at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center in Reno.

The partner agencies invite the public to the free event to celebrate the conclusion of another Older Americans Month. Stop by and thank the many volunteers, sponsors and seniors who helped make these events a success. A barbecue lunch will be included along with a raffle for various prizes. Those with a signed passport will be entered into the raffle for free.

Washoe County Senior Services, the cities of Reno and Sparks, along with several partnering agencies, have hosted more than 100 events throughout May as part of this year’s theme to help seniors engage at every age. View the Older Americans Month Booklet for a complete list of events.
