Washoe County Library System Holds Staff Development Day, May 17.
Most Libraries Will Open at 2 p.m.
To foster better communication within the Library System and to facilitate improved service to the community, most Washoe County Libraries will not open until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018. There are some exceptions: The Senior Center Library and the Verdi Community Library and Nature Center will be closed the entire day, and the Duncan-Traner Community Library will open at its normal time of 3:00 p.m.
“Scheduling face-to-face meetings on a quarterly basis allows time for staff to plan for things like upcoming programs and library technology upgrades,” says Library Director, Jeff Scott. “Limiting the meeting time to ½ days is purposeful in order to minimize library closure time.”
Patrons are advised that book drops will be available as well as the library’s website. For more information on our locations and hours, please contact us at 775-327-8300 or visit us online at www.washoecountylibrary.us
