Last Fall Photo Hike Canceled
Cancellation due to unsafe weather conditions
Attention "Fall Photo Hike" Participants:
The "Fall Photo Hike" that was scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2017 has been cancelled for safety concerns due to the possibility of heavy rain and wind that has been forecast for the region by the National Weather Service. It can be dangerous to hike in deteriorating weather conditions and heavy precipitation can cause unpredictable trail conditions. Locally heavy rains have the potential to produce flooding along the trails. Falling objects, such as heavy limbs and pine cones are also a potential hazard to hikers during storms.
There are no plans at this time to reschedule the hike for a later date. However, I want to extend my thanks to those who have participated in this series, and promise that "Fall Photo Hikes" will return next year.
