Washoe County Regional Animal Services helping seniors keep pets healthy

Reno, Nevada. July 20, 2017. Washoe County Regional Animal Services (WCRAS) is serving seniors by holding a Free Vaccination and Microchip Clinic for pet owners age 60 and over with ID, at the Livestock Events Center, Exhibit Hall, on July 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Free vaccinations, microchips and first-time licenses are available.

Free Vaccination and Microchip Clinic

WHAT:          Free vaccinations, microchips and first-time licensing clinic hosted by WCRAS.

WHEN:          9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2017

WHERE:        Livestock Events Center, Exhibit Hall, 1350 N. Wells Ave., Reno NV 89512

WCRAS staff and contract veterinarian will be on-site to provide vaccinations and microchipping for the pets of seniors in Washoe County. Core vaccinations include Parvo/Distemper, Bordetella boosters and Rabies vaccinations for dogs and FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations for cats.  The limit is three dogs and seven cats per residence.

Seniors with dogs over four months of age are required to be licensed and WCRAS will provide the first license free.  If it is not a first time license, renewal licenses are $8.00 for seniors.

Free microchips are available for both dogs and cats during at this event as well as at WCRAS’ location Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. year round. For more information, please visit: https://www.washoecounty.us/animal/news_and_events/events_and_clinics.php
