Holiday Closures
On Wednesday, December 24, all libraries will close early — at 4 pm — except the Gerlach Community Library, the Verdi Community Library and Nature Center, and the Duncan/Traner Community Library, which will be closed all day, and the Senior Center library which will close at its usual time of 1 pm. All Washoe County Library locations will be closed Thursday, December 25, for the Christmas holiday.

Nevada Flood Awareness Week is Nov. 13-19, see information to be prepared.

Reno, Nevada. Nov. 15, 2016. Nevada Flood Awareness Week is Nov. 13-19. Members of the Nevada Flood Awareness Committee, working with local communities, have scheduled a series of events, activities and exhibits to raise awareness among northern and rural Nevadan’s that serious flooding occurs regularly and that there are steps individuals can take to mitigate the risk.
