Residential Dump Days return

Dump Days are Saturday, Oct. 22 & Sunday, Oct. 23.

Who: Available to all Washoe County Residents

What: Household appliances and bulky items accepted free of charge. Other items will be accepted at reduced rates.

When: Saturday, October 22 & Sunday, October 23, 2016

Where: Reno area transfer stations:

1390 E. Commercial Row 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

13890 Mt. Anderson Road 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Why: Residential Dump Days help residents with seasonal cleanup and help to curb illegal dumping. Items commonly associated with illegal dumping will be accepted at no charge. All other materials will be accepted at a discount of more than 50 percent off the regular rate.

Rates

1. All eligible common household appliances and bulky items for no charge.

2. Standard pick-up truck load of trash $10.00 flat fee

3. Small pick-up truck load of trash $6.50 flat fee

Acceptable Household Appliances and bulky waste:

  • Refrigerators (additional charge for Sofas
  • Freon recovery) Chairs
  • Hot Water Heaters Mattresses
  • Stoves/Dishwashers Box Springs
  • Washers/Dryers

Electronic Waste/Recycling will NOT be accepted at this event.

Hazardous waste will not be accepted at any time.

Tires are limited to four per residential household.

Good to know: City of Reno & City of Sparks Customers in good standing are entitled to four trips to the transfer station each year at no additional charge. They can use this service any time of the year with valid ID or bill as proof of service.
