Washoe County Regional Animal Services and Nevada Humane Society partner to provide pet resources to seniors.
Reno, Nevada. May 12, 2016. Washoe County Regional Animal Services and Nevada Humane Society will offer the seniors of Washoe County free vaccinations, food and resources for their pets at Hidden Valley Park, at 4740 Parkway Dr., in Reno on May 17, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Regional Animal Services will be providing free dog and cat vaccinations and microchips for pets of seniors who live in Washoe County. Seniors are persons older than 60.
Additionally, free first time pet licensing and registration will be provided; annual renewals are $8 for spayed/neutered dogs and $20 for unaltered dogs. The licensing and registration component of the program is to ensure your pet can be returned to you if lost and also provides proof of ownership.
Nevada Humane Society will be handing out pet food and pet supplies. Staff from their Animal Resource Center will be providing free assistance and information to those who have questions or problems with their pets or other animals in the community.
