Washoe County splash parks are now open for the 2015 Season

North Valleys and Melio Gaspari water parks are open.

Reno, Nevada. June 11, 2015. It’s time to make a splash into summer at Washoe County’s water parks. Come enjoy our beautiful North Valleys and Melio Gaspari water parks and cool off with your friends and family. Whether you prefer planes or the Wild West, you are sure to make memories at our water parks this summer.

NORTH VALLEYS SPLASH PARK:

LOCATION:  North Valleys Regional Park, 8085 Silver Lake Road, Stead

SCHEDULE: North Valleys Splash Park: 7 days a week starting Saturday, June 13

                                                Weekends Only- August 15-September 7

                                                Hours of operation- 10 a.m. -5 p.m.

PAVILION RENTAL INFORMATION: North Valleys has two pavilions that are available for reservation for your special event. Please contact Parks Reservations for more information at 775.823.6501.

COST:  Daily admission: $3 per person, per day. Ages 2 & under and seniors (62+) are free. 
              5–visit punch pass is available for $13.50 and 10-visit punch pass is available for $24.

MELIO GASPARI WATER SPRAY PARK:

LOCATION:  Lazy 5 Regional Park 7100 Pyramid Way, Spanish Springs (behind the library)

SCHEDULE:  Open Wednesday- Sunday starting Saturday, June 13

                                Weekends Only- August 15-September 7

                                Hours of operation- 10 a.m. -5 p.m.

COST: Daily admission: $3 per person, per day. Ages 2 & under and seniors (62+) are free.

These parks recycle and recirculate water. The water is captured through a drain system and then filtered and treated much like a pool system. There is some water loss through evaporation, but it is not significant.
