Help Cabela's and Washoe County spruce up Crystal Peak Park in Verdi.
Reno, Nevada. April 10, 2015. Join the Washoe County Community Services Department and staff from the Reno Cabela’s Store for Cabela’s April “Adopt-A-Park” Volunteer Cleanup at Crystal Peak Park in Verdi, NV Tuesday, April 14, 2015.
As an official sponsor of Washoe County’s “Adopt-A-Park” program, Cabela’s is committed to keeping the historic and picturesque park along the banks of the Truckee River near the California State line, clean and beautiful for all to enjoy. This year, the “World’s Foremost Outfitter” is inviting the public to join them in their effort.
“Spring Fever has definitely set in early this year,” said Washoe County Park Ranger Andy Brown. “With the recent warm weather that we have been having, people are out enjoying the parks in large numbers, and we want to be as proactive as possible to keep things clean.”
Volunteers should come prepared with a sturdy pair of shoes and gloves. Tools and garbage bags will be supplied. Cabela’s will provide a free pancake breakfast for volunteers in the park at 8:30 a.m., followed by the cleanup from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
