Free gardening program offered every Tuesday beginning February 3.
Reno, Nevada. January 30, 2015. University of Nevada’s Cooperative Extension teams up with Washoe County Parks to offer free gardening programs for all. All programs begin at 6 p.m. each Tuesday evening from Feb. 3 through March 31 in the park’s Western Heritage Interpretive Center. Programs are approximately two hours.

- Feb. 17– Selecting Appropriate Shade Plants by Rod Haulenbeek

- March 10 – Paying it Forward through Sustainable Gardening by Pamela Van Hoozer
- March 17 – GMOs: Facts and Fallacies by Heidi Kratsch
- March 24 – Successful Vegetable Gardening Part 1 by Randy Robison

Bartley Ranch Regional Park is managed by the Washoe County Department of Regional Parks and Open Space. The park is located off Lakeside Drive about one-half mile south of McCarran Boulevard below the Windy Hill overlook. To enter, turn onto Bartley Ranch Road and cross the covered bridge.
